Teaching for PERI

As a not-for-profit organization, PERI relies heavily on the generous contribution of hundreds of volunteers to help conceive, develop and conduct our courses for professionals in the pharmaceutical, biological, and medical device industries. Because these volunteers are working professionals, they bring firsthand knowledge and experience to the courses. This perspective provides a valuable benefit to the students and is the trademark of PERI courses and workshops.

Getting involved with the other professionals of PERI provides you with unique opportunities to work with some of the best and brightest in the pharmaceutical, biological, and medical device industries. Working with PERI will also allow you to promote your own professional development. Your participation in PERI courses and programs can provide you with opportunities for:

Leadership Development: Use your professional experience and knowledge to influence the training agenda for people throughout the industry. Take a training need and nurture it into a course that benefits other members of the pharmaceutical, biological and medical device industries.

Public Speaking: Improve your public speaking skills as a member of the PERI faculty. Challenge yourself to face the questions of knowledge-hungry colleagues. Influence the issues and processes of your specialty by sharing your knowledge and experience with other professionals.

Networking: Strengthen your personal network of professional contacts, maximizing your sources of news and information about your industry. Enhance your problem solving abilities by enlisting the aid of contacts you develop while volunteering on these important professional development programs.

Management Skills: Enhance your own communications, planning, and interpersonal skills while you support needed professional development programs for colleagues in the industry.

Employee Development: Do you have staff who need more opportunities to develop their professional or personal skills? PERI programs offer a tremendous proving ground for individuals who are looking for nontraditional challenges not offered in the workplace. As a faculty member they can grow personally and professionally, working with some of the most talented people in the industry.

Impact on the Industry: Our courses, workshops, and distance education programs, provide many opportunities to use your talents for the benefit of other professionals in the pharmaceutical, biological and medical device industries.
