What To Expect

PERI's distance education courses have been designed as self-study learning activities that are delivered completely over the Internet. You will work independently and progress at your own pace at a convenient time and place.

The courses combine content including text, audio and video; exercises designed to help you apply what you are learning; self-assessment quizzes; and online reference sources. As a course participant, you will have access to faculty and other learners through email and bulletin boards.

From the date you register, you will be able to access the course for a designated period of time (e.g., two to four months). In order to receive a course completion certificate, you must score a minimum grade on each self-assessment quiz and submit the course evaluations. Your quiz scores will remain confidential.

Courses include the following features and tools:

  • Comprehensive course content modules written by expert faculty from industry, the FDA, and academia
  • Exercises and case questions
  • Self-assessment quizzes
  • Online reference links
  • Glossary of terms
  • An email account to communicate with instructors
  • Discussion board
  • Bookmark function to hold your place in the course
  • Common industry abbreviations and acronyms
