Goals and Standards
PERI's Goals:
1. To provide a spectrum of educational programs that meet the highest standards for quality and value.
2. To meet the diverse and unique educational needs of industry, government, and academic professionals in health care product research and manufacturing. This extends into multiple dimensions, which include:
- The skills and knowledge needed throughout the entire discovery, development, and marketing process, from basic research to post-marketing;
- The longitudinal career path of scientists and managers in industry, government, and academia, from entry level to senior levels;
- Individuals who have recently transferred to new disciplines;
- The changing professional development needs of people working in the health care products industry.
3. To develop relationships with training and professional development departments within industry, government, and academia to provide guidance and to supplement internal training programs.
4. To create a forum for interaction among people from different companies offering opportunities for professional role models, mentoring, and ongoing professional relationships.
PERI's Educational Standards:
- Limited enrollment to promote active participation and encourage personal interaction among the students and expert faculty
- Hands-on training with "cutting edge" information taught by practicing professionals from industry, government, and academia
- Interactive training and practical problem solving through case study workshops
- Continuous evaluation of program content and faculty to provide the highest quality training programs
