    Continuing Education Policy

    Since continuing education credit policy differs depending on the type of course within the Pharmaceutical Medicine Program, please select the appropriate course type from the buttons below to view the correct policy. Courses, which are held at hotels, are termed Open Enrollment Courses. Courses taken online are termed Distance Education Courses.

    Open Enrollment Courses

    As a participant of a PERI open course, you may earn continuing education credit. Please see individual course descriptions to determine the type and amount of credit offered. Continuing education credit hours depend on the agenda of a program. As a result, the exact amount of credit you earn by attending a program may vary from the amounts published on this site if slight alterations in the program are made.

    Availability
    Continuing education credit is currently available for pharmacists, physicians, and nurses, depending on the course.

    PERI, Inc. is approved by The American Council on Pharmaceutical Education as a provider of continuing pharmaceutical education.

    PERI, Inc. is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

    PERI, Inc. is approved as a provider of continuing education in nursing by the Virginia Nurses Association, which is accredited as an approver of continuing education in nursing by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, Commission on Accreditation. Provider Number 02-04-01.

    PERI, Inc. is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number CE-P11908.

    Applying for Credit
    Applying for credit is simple. When you attend a course:

    1. Attendance at the entire course is required.
    2. At the end of the course, submit a Continuing Education Application form (available at the course registration desk) and a completed program evaluation to the on-site coordinator. You may provide your state licensing number if you would like it to appear on your certificate.
    3. PERI will mail a certificate to you within three weeks of course completion.

    Distance Education Courses

    As a participant of a PERI distance education course, you may earn continuing education credit. Please see individual course descriptions to determine the type and amount of credit offered.

    1. Complete all course self-assessment quizzes and course evaluation forms. A minimum score for the self-assessments of a course will be required; the exact score will be specified in your course.
    2. At the end of the course click on the link to send an email to PERI with your request for continuing education credit. Please be sure to specify the type of credit for which you want to apply. You may provide your state licensing number if you would like it to appear on your certificate.
    3. PERI will mail a certificate to you within three weeks of receiving your request.
